Our Approach to
Responsible Manufacturing
We believe responsibility for a garment extends beyond how it looks and performs. How and where it is manufactured matters too.
Briz Apparel Group works with selected manufacturing partners and expects those suppliers to operate to appropriate standards relating to workplace practices, employee welfare, manufacturing and quality. We assess potential suppliers, review compliance information, request certifications and conduct ongoing monitoring to help ensure these standards are met.
This gives our customers confidence that their apparel is produced in facilities that respect people, communities and the environment.
Responsible Supply-Chain Standards
Briz Apparel Group is a Sedex member, and relevant manufacturing partners participate in recognised third-party compliance and quality frameworks that may include Sedex, amfori BSCI, ISO 9001:2015 depending on the individual supplier.
Our expectations include responsible practices relating to:
Worker health and safety
Lawful employment
Appropriate working conditions
Wages and working hours
Prohibition of forced labour
Prohibition of child labour
Responsible workplace management
Appropriate quality-management practices
Our Position on Modern Slavery
Briz Apparel Group does not tolerate any form of modern slavery in our supply chain. This includes forced labour, human trafficking, child labour, debt bondage and other exploitative practices.
We expect our manufacturing partners to provide fair wages, reasonable working hours, safe and healthy working conditions, lawful employment,
freedom of movement and access to rest days and holidays, in line with international labour standards.
We do not knowingly source from suppliers using these practices. We seek to reduce supply-chain risk through supplier due diligence, regular audits, compliance documentation and ongoing monitoring.
